What does the BUAV's campaign involve?

Step 1: The BUAV has asked the Home Office to adopt a policy prohibiting the testing of animals for household products. We eagerly await a response…

Step 2: We are meeting with senior representatives of key political parties to convince them of the huge public support for a ban on household product testing.

81% of British people would support a ban on testing household products on animals. (CIAO research 2006)

Step 3: We have tabled a parliamentary petition (Early Day Motion 1215) calling for a ban on household products animal testing.

Our target is for over 200 MPs to sign the EDM, which was tabled by David Drew, MP. This would be a huge statement of intent from Parliament that the Government would find hard to ignore. We can only achieve this with your help.

Step 4: The BUAV is approaching retailers and manufacturers to sign them up to a cruelty free policy.

Step 5: We aim to raise public awareness of the reality of household products animal testing.
