BUAV and David Drew MP hand letter in to Downing St calling for the Government to ban animal testing on household products

David Drew MP accompanied BUAV's Chief Executive, Michelle Thew, to Downing Street to hand in a letter to Gordon Brown calling for the Government to ban animal testing on household products. The letter stressed that following a ban on cosmetics testing more than ten years ago, the next logical step - given the trivial nature of the products concerned - is an extension of this existing policy prohibition to cover household products, such as washing-up liquid and detergents, and their ingredients.

We keenly await Mr Brown's response.
